Obituary of Awilda Rivera

Awilda Rivera, age 44, currently of Nashua, New Hampshire, passed away into the peaceful presence of the Lord on April 22, 2012 in UMASS Memorial Medical Center, Worcester, Mass.; Awilda was born in Isabela, Puerto Rico on April 28, 1967 and after living in Puerto Rico for a few years relocated to New York; She once again relocated to Puerto Rico where she met her beloved husband of 25 years Samuel E. Rivera and after 5 years of marriage moved to Nashua, New Hampshire where she resided for almost 20 years; Awilda was a vibrant woman with a heart of gold & unforgettable smile. She was employed in Nashua Education District for many years as an ESL Teacher's Aide and most recently at the Birch Hill Elementary School in Nashua, NH; In addition to her husband she is survived by one son Samuel D. Rivera of Nashua, NH and one daughter Sofia Isabel Rivera of Nashua, NH; She is also is survived by her mother Margarita Colon and her husband Luis Pena of New York, NY; her brother Rusty Pena; and a host of other relatives and friends who will dearly miss her; Although Awilda's passing was sudden, her memory will remain forever. She was predeceased by her father the late Amado Nieves; Awilda will have a viewing on Wednesday, April 25, 2012 from 4-7 P.M. at the Funeraria Luz de Paz, (Peaceful Light Funeral Home), 426 E.
