Titi Maritza You were an amazing woman with a heart as big as they come. You opened up your home and your heart to me, and always treated me like one of your own children. You were my favorite aunt and I was your favorite niece and no one can take that from me. The hole you left in my heart can never be filled. You dedicated your life to giving and even in death you still were an angel helping my dad find his way! I am 100% positive you showed him the way and comforted him in his last days and that to me is priceless. I will honor you in any way I can in this life until I have the honor of seeing you again. I love you to infinity and beyond my beautiful aunt!

When I think of titi Maritza I remember her ability to bring people together and make them feel at home, as evidence by all her adopted children and grandchildren. Every time we went to her house we ended up in that kitchen full of love, memory and a sense of home- and of course good food. I will miss that sense of warmth she inspired, and I can only hope to learn to love like she did. My memories of her kitchen and that great big kitchen table on West Jackson Ave with all it's stories makes my heart smile.

To the family of Maritza let me begin by say I'm sorry for the difficult pain you are going through at this moment. Please know that my family and I are lifting you all in prayer. Maritza was a beautiful person. Her love and care reached many. She was one of the best cooks I know and I remembered how she prepared food when Tio Miguel passed on; always willing to help in any way she could. Honor her by living up to the ways you all were brought up and let her continue to live through you all. Take comfort in God and each other. Know that this is temporary and she is now reunited with the many who have gone before us. Peace to you all.

My dear Aunt Maritza. Words cannot express the sorrow and pain I'm feeling right now. I still can't believe you are no longer on this earth. I know you are rejoicing in heaven with Jesus, Abuela, Mama, and your sister Migdalia. But the void you left behind, no one will be able to fill. My memories of you will never fade. I will cherish the times we had together and the conversations. We grew up more like sisters than aunt and niece. I can't wait until that blessed day when I will see you again in heaven. To my dear Uncle Carlos, thank you for being such a loving, attentive husband, you meant the world to her and I know she was your world. I will continue my prayer for strength and peace. I love you and always will. To my cousins, Carlos, Connie, Evelyn, Jason and Lisa. I love you and you know you can count on me to be there when you need me to be. I feel you pain and lost. Remember, Jesus is surrounding you with His love, peace and strength. He's as close as the mention of His name. We all were waiting, praying and hoping for God to heal her. He answered our prayers, not the way we hoped. He healed her by taking her home to be with Him. She is now whole again and even better than she will ever be! Imagine her smile and laughter now. She is the master chef in God's kitchen. We will see her again. Love always, your niece and cousin, Aileen

Her house was everybody's house. Her kitchen was her domain and her family was number 1. She loved her husband darely and was as fiesty as they come. She love Jesus with all her heart and loved her beloved church and pastors. Her grandchildren was her world. She will be missed by all and now heaven has a new angel. I pray that one day we will all see her again with the Lord. There's going to be the best family reunion you can ever attend, to see our love ones that went ahead. It's only thru Jesus do we have that chance at being with Jesus and our loved ones. So make a reservation and ask Jesus into your life.
