Obituary of De'Shenay Rosa

De'Shenay Unique Rosa, age 10, a lifelong Bridgeport resident passed away into the arms of the Lord suddenly on September 18, 2013 in Yale New Haven Hospital, New Haven, CT. De'Shenay is the daughter of Pelicia Palmer of Bridgeport and the late Francisco Rosa; She was a wonderful young girl with a contagious smile who loved going to her school the Luis Muñoz Marin School in Bridgeport where she attended 5th grade. She was considered a comedian by everyone who came across her and loved eating her Tacos as much as she can. In her ten years of life she created a lifetime of Memories for her family and friends to remember her by. In addition to her mother she is survived by her grandmothers Aida Mendez and Evelyn Reid; her uncles Jose Rosa (AKA Tio Joe), Felix Zamot SR and Chevado Dell; her aunts, Candace Joseph, Brenda Mendez, Iris Torres, Celia Madera and Kadia Palmer; and a host of cousins and friends whom will always miss her. Friends are invited to attend calling hours on Friday, September 27, 2013 from 6-9 P.M. at the Funeraria Luz de Paz (Peaceful Light Funeral Home), 426 E. Washington Ave., Bridgeport; A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Saturday, September 28, 2013 beginning at 10:00 A.M. DIRECTLY at St. Charles Barromeo Church, 391 Ogden Street, Bridgeport, CT; Interment will follow in Park Cemetery, Bridgeport, CT; Instead of Flowers the family request that memorial donations be made directly to the funeral home.
