Obituary of Antonia Padin
Antonia Padin, age 73, beloved daughter of the late Pedro Rosario and the late Jesusa Rodriguez has passed away into the peaceful rest of the Lord, on September 17, 2019 in Bridgeport Hospital, Bridgeport, CT; Antonia was born in Quebradillas, Puerto Rico but had relocated to the United States many years ago. She was a very active member of the St. Mary's Church family for many years, going back to the original St. Mary's Parish before its current Parish was even built. She was a Cursillista of St. Mary's for many years and above all, just always loved to pray the rosary as she always believed it ignited and preserved her faith each time she prayed it. Antonia was a vibrant woman and age, nor illness, nor pain ever became a reason or excuse for her not to dance, smile, and joyfully tell jokes and spend her days with her family. She was a perfectionist at heart and always gave 110 to be sure things were done right, literally, everything she did was with the same commitment and dedication. Her contagious laughter made her an indispensable part of any event and regardless of the event, for as simple and irrelevant it may seem to anyone, she was always made sure she was looking her best, her hair was in place, her lips were beautifully touched up to show off her God-given natural beauty
Antonia was the widow of the late Jesus Padin who passed away just about a year ago.
Antonia leaves to cherish her memory her children, Hilda R. Padin, Carlos J. Padin, Jesus (Miriam Rodriguez) Padin, Jr., Efrain Padin and Alfredo Padin; seven grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren; her siblings, Pedro Rosario, Alejandrina Rosario, Minerva Rosario, Juana Rosario, and Camila Rosario; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and many friends whom will sorely miss her beautiful sunshine of a persona;
In addition to her husband and parents, Antonia was predeceased by her son the late Nelson Padin, two brothers the late Ramon Rosario and the late Onorio Rosario;
