I know words alone can not express how saddened you are to lose your mom and so quickly after your dad has passed. Trusting in the Lord that her mission is complete here on earth and that she is rejoicing with her husband, son and family in His kingdom are the only comforts to you now. I wanted to express my sincere sympathy to the Padin family for your loss. I had the honor and the privilege of meeting Antonia. I worked with her daughter Hilda and every so often she would come to our workplace for a visit. She was such a beautiful woman inside and out who had a contagious laugh and beautiful smile. I will especially remember when she would call the office to talk to Hilda. Before she would even ask for Hilda she was laughing which would instantly make me or whoever answered the phone laugh. If you was having a bad day and answered the phone when she called she made you laugh and smile. Very special lady. She will be missed. Rest In Peace.

Me parece que fuera ayer cuando la conocí por primera vez. Usted requería los servicios de una enfermera que hablara español y mi agencia me envió a su casa.
Me recibió con esa sonrisa tan sincera y profunda, y nuestra conexión fue inmediata.
Mis visitas de enfermera se convirtieron también en charlas de amigas, muy profundas, donde compartimos nuestras vivencias, nuestras penas, nuestras alegrías. Conocí así de su niñez, su adolescencia, su juventud, su vida matrimonial, a sus hijos.
Cuando me contaba de sus “muchachos”, lo hacia con toda su vida, con toda su pasión; sus ojos se iluminaban. Siempre le dije por eso, que se parecía mucho a mi mami. Su familia, sus hijos, nietos y bisnietos fueron su vida y su mayor orgullo.
Hemos reido juntas, hemos llorado juntas, hemos rezado juntas.
Su devoción por la Divina Misericordia y el rezo diario del rosario, le dieron las fuerzas para seguir adelante en la lucha de las dolencias que la achacaban.
Cuando mis visitas de enfermera culminaron, mis visitas de amistad continuaron. Gracias por recibirme siempre con los brazos abiertos y esa hermosa y sincera sonrisa.
Tengo la suerte de conocer a todos sus hijos; ellos son el reflejo de su amor. Mi amistad ha de seguir con ellos.
“Me queda tu sonrisa dormida en el recuerdo, y el corazón me dice que no te olvidaré “, dice el Poema de la Despedida, de José Angel Buesa, y así será. Aunque esta no es una despedida, sino un hasta algún día. Su sonrisa noble, tierna, cálida, quedará por siempre en mi corazón.
Descansa en paz mi querida amiga Antonia.
