Obituary of Barbara Marie Haray

Barbara Marie Haray, age 56, beloved daughter of the late Michael Haray and the late Mary Haray has entered eternal rest in God's presence on September 5, 2019 in ST. Vincent's Medical Center, Bridgeport, CT; Barbara was born in Bridgeport and was a lifelong Bridgeport resident; She resided in Bridgeport's south end where she raised her family. Barbara was employed as a CNA for many years and invested her energy and natural caring persona into caring for others whom could use genuine touch and care; She was known to many in the neighborhood because of her commitment to being a Babysitter to many children whom she cared for throughout the years. Not only did she care for the children, the patients, and her family, yet customers too. She was probably most well known as she worked for quite some time at the Crown Supermarket (formerly in front of the former Eastern Bag and Paper Company on South Ave), then the Park Avenue Supermarket on the corner of Gregory Street and Park Avenue where she could as many would say," throw down makin some sandwiches"; The south end was blessed to have her in their midst and the atmosphere and residents of the area during that time know the special connection that exists and existed with those who lived south of the Tracks. Times that will never be forgotten and times that Barbara was a valid and big part of. She will be missed by all. Barbara leaves to cherish her memory her son Alexander Hernandez and his spouse Catherine Malave, Daughter Rebecca Hernandez and her spouse Christopher Watkins, and Megan Hernandez and her spouse Elijah English; her grandchildren Chloe Watkins, Alexander Hernandez, Jr. Javanni Cora, Isabela Hernandez, Jasira Johnson and Tremain Bravo; Friends have been invited to attend calling hours on Thursday, September 12, 2019 from 6-8 P.M. at the Funeraria Luz de Paz (Peaceful Light Funeral Home), 426 East Washington Avenue, Bridgeport, CT; Final disposition will take place privately at the convenience of the family; Meanwhile we encourage everyone to visit the memorial webpage that has been established as a place where you may share your thoughts, memories, prayers, pictures and so much more but is ONLY and EXCLUSIVELY found at www.luzdepaz.com.
