Every time I went to visit my family you would always make sure to come see me. My only regret is that I never made it back to go visit and spend the night keeping you company at your home like you wanted me to.

I attended Greater Bridgeport Fellowship with Awilda, and she exemplified a true sister in the Lord. She was a beam of brightness, a welcoming spirit. I remember attending her anniversary celebrations in coming to the Lord, her smile, her fullness & joy for the life she'd been given; and our love of butterfly's. Speechless is the only word that comes to mind......
I always remember going with my dad to Tommy and Awilda's house for some little family gathering and Awilda always made some delicious food and was such a vibrant soul. Always calm, cool and positive. I loved seeing her anywhere I went because she always had this uplifting message for you whenever you saw her, any place any time. She will be truly missed.

My deepest condolences and warm thoughts to family and friends. It was a true pleasure and meaningful experience to have had spent the time with Awilda in her lasts months of life, where we broke bread together, shared scripture, prayer and our inner most thoughts on life's ups and downs with only one thing in mind to pull us through, our Lord and Savior Christ Jesus.
Awilda remained a woman of great character with divine principles and wisdom, that she shared so openly with all she came into contact with despite her illness. Her wisdom and walk with God is truly amazing and most memorable to me which I will always hold deep in my heart.

Awilda's spirit was infectious, if you were having a bad day she would quote a scripture, sing a song and give you the biggest hug with that smile that would lite up a room. We have cried together, laughed together, worshipped The Lord together, broke bread together and danced together.
