Obituary of Lydia Esther Lauriano

Lydia Esther Lauriano, age 72, of Bridgeport passed away into the Presence of the Lord on April 16, 2018 in St. Vincent's Medical Center while surrounded by her loving family.   Lydia is the daughter of the late Dolores Morales and the late Gumercinda Torres; widow of the late Domingo Lauriano; Lydia was a loving woman who was born in Comerio, Puerto Rico but had relocated to the Bridgeport area many years ago since the 1960's and since a die hard Yankees Fan;  She had worked for many years at the Sprague Meter company in Bridgeport then also at the Continental ASA company prior to retiring.  Lydia leaves to cherish her memory one Son Raymond Lauriano (Merle);  daughter Emily Lauriano (Orlando Cedeño);  her grandchildren Shaelene Kite, Lashe Lauriano, Adriana Cedeño Medina, Ray Chris Lauriano, Brittany Cedeño, Denisha Lauriano, Rachelle Williams, Kealoha Serrano, Leona Serrano and Yolanda Serrano;  her great grandchild Jordan Serrano; her brothers Angel Morales (Late Juanita), Francisco Rivera (Aida), Edgardo Rivera (Carmen);  her sisters Blanca Iris Caraballo (Cristino), and Carmen O. Gordillo (Alberto); and a host of other relatives and friends whom will dearly miss her; She was predeceased by her son the late Robert Lauriano and her sister the late Aida Santana; Friends are invited to attend calling hours on Thursday, April 19, 2018 from 7-9 PM at the Funeraria Luz de Paz, (Peaceful Light Funeral Home), 426 E. Washington Ave., Bridgeport;  Funeral services have been scheduled for Friday, April 20, 2018 beginning at 10:00 A.M. Directly at the St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church for a Mass of Christian Burial followed by Interment in Mt. Grove Easton Cemetery, Easton, CT;   An online Memorial registerbook has been established as a place where you may share your thoughts, memories, prayer, pictures and so much more but is found EXCLUSIVELY at www.luzdepaz.com;   

In Lieu of Flowers the family request memorial donations may be made in honor of Lydia at the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation at www.jdrf.org.
