Obituary of Carmen Martinez

Carmen I. Martinez, age 52, of Bridgeport, passed away into the peaceful presence of the Lord as she slept on Thursday, August 23, 2012 in her home. Carmen was born in Rio Piedras, Puerto Rico to the late Victor M. Martinez and Maria Martinez, currently of Ansonia, CT, but had moved into the Bridgeport area at the early age of 5 and has resided here since. She is the beloved wife of Jack Morales Sr. whom she met over 35 years ago. In addition to her husband she is survived by her sons David Morales and Jack Morales Jr.; her daughter Melinda Morales; her grandchildren Gabriel Morales and Jack Morales III; her sisters Frances Ortiz, Janet Ortiz, Marisol Nieves, and Maribel Nieves; Her brothers Miguel Nieves and Marian Nieves; and a host of other relatives and friends who will dearly miss her; She was predeceased by her sister the late Maria Lisette Ortiz; Final services have been scheduled for Monday, August 27, 2012 beginning at 11:00 A.M. until 1:00 P.M. at the Funeraria Luz de Paz (Peaceful Light Funeral Home), 426 E. Washington Ave., Bridgeport, CT, followed by a Funeral Service in the funeral home at 1:00 P.M.
