You're never prepared to learn of someone's passing. I truly was shocked to learn of Ruben's untimely death. I had the pleasure of meeting Ruben at Donuts Inc. We shared the enjoyment of playing the daily number. We had a friendship that grew from that as we would always run into each other at the donut shop. He was a true gentleman who I will miss. Rest in peace Ruben. You'll never be forgotten.

You left this place way too soon and left behind a lot of broken hearted people....myself for one....You looked out for me .. as a brother would .. and i love you always for that... you were more than a boss to me... you had the ability to be my friend and superior without jeopardizing the other.... not many could do that.... i only knew of one other who could.... My beloved cousin, Rubencito "Coqui," as we lovingly called him in the family. I am still in shock in hearing of his passing because at 54 year old it's too soon to leave this earth. My memories of us as children growing up together are the most vivid ones that I will forever cherish. He had a heart of gold, a great sense of humor and touched all that had the privilege of knowing him. He will be missed immensely! He leaves a void in our hearts that cannot be replaced.
