My beloved friend and sister. My heart is broken to know that I will not see you again. You and I have gone through many things both privately and publicly but always came out better because we had each other. What am I to do now? Both of my best friends have gone and now I am here to grieve for both of them alone. I love you Marta and I am glad I had the opportunity to know such a wonderful, caring and magnificent person.
I know that I will be alright because God just added another Angel to watch over me.

Marta Calderon was a great lady with a great heart. Her talent and skill on the computer and for keeping track of numbers was unparalleled. I would joke with her when reviewing the payroll that I would never find a mistake.....and I never did. While her business skills were impeccable, it was her skills as a friend, counselor and advisor that made her so popular with the men and women of the Foster Grandparent Program. She served them, tirelessly, with great concern and compassion.
I wish you all my heartfelt sympathy... please know she will be remembered often and with great affection.

To Marta's family, I am so sorry for your loss! After losing my Dad 6 months ago I learned the pain never goes away but God is so wonderful that he gives you the strength to go on while making every memory of your loved one a treasure. Someone told me, remember God only takes the most beautiful flowers for his garden and it's so true. Marta was a beautiful person; always with a smile on her face. I will miss seeing her at the office, waiting for her ride in the lobby, and giving her a good-bye hug when it was time to go home. Descansa en paz Marta.

Our condolences to Marta's children and family. She was a great lady who cared about everyone so much. I loved her very much and always made my day when I saw her at work and she would smile and say "como estas mi nena linda". She will be missed but I know she is now resting in the hands of God.
