When I think of Michael I think of 5 things...
FAMILY - The love for his bride Gladys is what every marriage begins vowing.Thru think and thin, rich or poor, sickness or health, till death do you part. What a blessing it was for me to witness that. His sons were raised in a home of unbreakable bond and their parents their biggest cheerleaders.
FRIENDS - As you look around today at all the faces, many were blessed to call him friend. But if you ask him... Friends are family !
FUN - I have tons of memories where my mouth hurt from laughing around him. Whether being a prankster or telling the same old joke over and over . He loved a good laugh. I just picture him getting his perm and I laugh. His grandkids were blessed to have a fun loving grandpa that kept up w their craziness.
FOOD - Good lord can this man eat. He loved a good old home cooked meal over Red Lobster any day. And none more that what his lovely wife cooked. This Venezuelan has a LOVE of Puerto Rican food because of Michael and Gladys . Thank you
The FIELD - For those of you that really know him, the Field was his second home. He loved the sport of baseball. He shared and instilled that loved for the game in his sons. I didn't even know there was such a thing as "Old Timers" until I met him. And whatever you do, don't mention the Yankees... He was a die hard METS fan. As a matter a fact, I will be rooting so hard for the Mets this year as I have never before. Join me ... METS for MICHAEL!!!
I thank God for crossing my path with your life Michael, I thank God for your love for me and for your grand daughter Mari. You will be missed. REST IN PEACE GENTLE GIANT

My deepest sympathies to the Ramirez family. Pops Ramirez was a great and humble person. I will always remember that smile. I am saddened to hear of his passing but I know he is with our Lord. May God be with you and give all of you strength during this difficult time. Just remember it is not goodbye but rather until we meet again.

Rest in peace brother. He was my team mate with many teams. He helped me transition from infield to pitcher , I copied his pitching style. I called him Junk Food for the pitches he threw. My condolences to his family. He will always be in winner.DYET
