Obituary of Ana D Maldonado

Ana "Dolly" Maldonado, age 64, currently of Stratford passed away into the graceful presence of the Lord on Sunday, July 5, 2015 in Yale New Haven Hospital, New Haven, CT; Dolly is the daughter of the late Juan P. Maldonado and Natividad Nieves of Bridgeport; She was born in San Juan, Puerto Rico but had relocated to the Bridgeport area many years ago; Dolly was known by many as being a Social worker at Bridgeport hospital where she was employed for 30 plus years before her retirement earlier this year. Her personality, contagious joy and love for anyone and everyone was unparalleled and there are not enough words to describe this wonderful woman. Everyone loved Dolly and Dolly's helping hand reached many times way beyond the hospital walls. Truly a gem amongst us that will never be equaled and definitely never forgotten; In addition to her mother, Dolly is survived by her fiancee Robert N. Collazo; her son Ephraim Medina; her daughters Elizabeth Medina Ulloa and Erim Medina Corado; one brother Edwin Maldonado; six grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends that will sadly miss her; She was predeceased by her brother the late Rafael Maldonado; Friends are invited to attend calling hours on Wednesday, July 8, 2015 from 6-9 P.M. at the Funeraria Luz de Paz, (Peaceful Light Funeral Home), 426 E. Washington Ave, Bridgeport, CT; a Memorial Mass has been scheduled for Saturday, July 11, 2015 at 10:00 A.M. (DIRECTLY) at the Blessed Sacrament Church, 275 Union Avenue, Bridgeport, CT; In lieu of Flowers the family request memorial donations be made to the Yale New Haven Smilow Cancer Hospital in her memory at the "Development Fund, P.O.
