My deepest and sincerest condolences to the family. I am so heartbroken to hear of the news and even more so since I found out a few days too late to attend. Her family was so blessed to have had her in their lives as a daughter, sister, mother, aunt, grandmother and so on. She was the definition of love and that exuded to everyone she knew and cared about; and it carried over to her patients. Even after I left my job at the hospital, I would still bump into her from time to time and the last time was after her long day at work we met at Frankie's Diner to hear me out, we spent hours there. After her encouraging words and support, the one thing I remember was that that day she was so happy about a house she and her grandson were looking at. She was beaming about it, it's how I will always remember you. Dolly, I thank God for crossing our paths, you were truly LOVE on earth. I love you and will miss you terribly.

My heart aches knowing that I am so far away, & not there to celebrate and appreciate the time we had you here. You were an amazing human being to many, but more importantly a true blessing from up above who cared about my family and I in good times and bad. You've helped me see the brighter side of life, and motivated me to keep reaching for the stars. I have been an employee at Bridgeport Hospital since 1979. Whenever I heard Dolly's name I always thought of her as someone who was the best of the best. She always looked at situations outside if the box. She was always positive and got her point across in a very calm and soothing way. When she saw a patient you knew she had everything under control and things were taken care of never a need to worry. We will all miss her as a great social worker and friend. She had so much to give and I suppose The Lord took her so that she could maybe continue her work in heaven. She left us here on earth too early but knowing Dolly she is doing just fine up above. My thoughts and prayers to all of her family and Ed who I work with at the hospital.

Dolly was the kind of person who you could call and KNOW that she would ACT. I frequently had to call her for help with clients in Bridgeport who needed housing or medical assistance or some other social service. I could always be confident that she would solve the problem and do whatever needed to be done for every single referral. She was one-in-a-million!
Rest well good and faithful friend, you've done well...and now the REWARD!

Dolly and I worked together during the start-up years of South West Community Health Center. We shared good times, laughter and love as we got to know the residents in our service area. I am so sorry to hear that Dolly has passed. She was a light in many people's lives. Everyone loved Dolly. I can see her smile and feel her love when I think of her. I had the pleasure of knowing her when I worked at Bridgeport Hospital. I hope she enjoyed some of her retirement. To live in the hearts we leave behind is not to die .

I also knew her at a personal level spending time at her home and laughing at the things she would say and do. We have not seen each other in years since I relocated but found each other on fb.
