Obituary of Santos Melendez

Melendez-Santos Melendez, age 73 currently of Southington, CT passed into the peaceful rest of the Lord on Sunday, August 3, 2008 in Southington, CT while surrounded by her family at their home. Santos was born in Morovis, Puerto Rico before moving into the area many years ago. She is the daughter of the late Julio Negron and the Late Herminia Rios; She is the widow of the Late Primitivo Melendez; She is survived by her sons Angel Melendez and Jimmy Melendez and his wife Lillian Melendez; four grandaughters Elisa Carrion, Christina Melendez, Teresa Melendez, & Lillian Melendez; one grandson Luis Antonio DelValle; and One Great Grandson Omar Carrion who along with the others dearly miss her. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, August 7, 2008 beginning at 8:00 A.M. at the Funeraria Luz de Paz ( La Funeraria de NUESTRA Comunidad), 426 E. Washington Ave., Bridgeport, CT followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Mary’s Church; interment will follow in St. Michael’s Cemetery, Stratford, CT; Friends are invited to attend calling hours on Wednesday, August 6, 2008 from 7-9 P.M. at the Funeral home.
