Obituary of Nellie McKenzie

mckenzie Nellie M. McKenzie, age 90, of Bridgeport, after a long journeyed life entered eternal rest peacefully on Saturday, May 5, 2007 in her daughter, Veronica''s home. She is predeceased by her parents, Hubert and Anieta McKenzie; son, Durrant Clarke, grandson, Durrant Jones; two sisters and three brothers. Survived by daughters: Ionie Shakes of Atlanta, Ga., Veronica Ortiz and husband, Jose of Bridgeport, Coral Jones and husband, Steven of Huntington. Sisters: Silvia Hudson and husband Locksley, of Florida, Ilene Cassells of New York, and Hilda Brooks of Fla. Brothers: B. Roy Robinson of Florida, Randolph McKenzie of England, Rudolph and Lloyd McKenzie of Jamaica. Grandchildren: Symone Sealey and husband, Randy, Natasha Clarke, Zahraina Jones, Victoria Riley, Lyanna Bell, Bryan Jones and Stephanie Jones. Great-grandchildren: Vanessa Duran, Anthony DiNatale, Sydnee DiNatale. Special niece: Beverley Brooks and a host of nieces and nephews. Friends may greet the family on May 9, 2007 at 6 p.m. at Funeraria Luz De Paz, 426 East Washington Avenue, Bridgeport.
