Obituary of Joseph McGuire

Joseph McGuire, age 80, of Bridgeport passed away peacefully in his home on Sunday, September 7, 2008. Joseph was born in Scotland but had moved into the Bridgeport area since 1966. He is the son of the Late Edward and Mary McGuire; the husband of the late Mary McGuire; To cherish his memory he is survived by his daughter Ann Gordon of Scotland, Lina Proudfoot of British Columbia, Canada and Teresa M. McGuire of Bridgeport; six grandchildren; six great grandchildren,and several nieces and nephews; He will be dearly missed by all; He was most recently predeceased by his loving companion whom recently passed into eternity, the Late Ester Dapp. Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, September 12, 2008 beginning at 10:00 A.M. at the Funeraria Luz de Paz ( Peaceful Light Funeral Home ), 426 E. Washington Ave., Bridgeport followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Patrick''s Church. Interment will follow in Mt. Grove Cemetery, Bridgeport; Friends are invited to join the family during calling hours which will be held on Thursday, September 11, 2008 from 5-8 P.M. at the Funeral Home.
