Obituary of Ivan Martinez

Ivan Martinez, age 48, of Hamden, CT entered into peaceful rest on Wednesday, July 26, 2006. Born and raised in Manati, Puerto Rico, Ivan moved to Bridgeport 24 years ago, and more recently became a resident of Hamden, CT. He is the son of the late Emilio Martinez and Ana Nieves of Puerto Rico. He leaves behind the loving memory of his two daughters Jeanette Martinez and Kathleen Martinez-Garcia and husband Adrian, all from Bridgeport; his sisters Ivette Velarde and husband Saul of Stratford, Leticia Martinez of Miami, Florida, Wiynee Figueroa and husband Hector of Bridgeport, nephews Robert Lopez of Stratford, Ricardo Padilla of Bridgeport, Marc Anthony Velarde of Stratford, Salvador Concepción Jr. of Bridgeport, nieces Francheska Concepción and husband Salvador of Bridgeport, Sacha Nieves of Bridgeport, and Herlinda Nieves of Bridgeport. Calling hours for Ivan will take place on Sunday, July 30, 2006 from 4 to 7 P.M. at the Funeraria Luz de Paz, 426 E. Washington Ave., in Bridgeport. Funeral Services will be held on Monday, July 31, 2006 beginning at 10:00A.M at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Park Cemetery.
