Obituary of Francisca Santana

Francisca R. Lopez Santana, age 86, currently of Stratford, the beloved wife of Anastacio R. Lopez for the past 47 years, passed into the peaceful rest of the Lord on Monday, August 11, 2008 in Bridgeport Hospital while surrounded by her loving family. She is the daughter of the Late Julio Santana and the Late Filomena Marrero; Francisca was born in Vega Alta, Puerto Rico but moved into the Bridgeport area since 1945. She had been employed for over 30 years at the Bassick Company before retiring; In addition to her husband she is survived by her son Efrain DeLeon; Brothers Pedro Santana, Julio Santana, & Domingo Marrero; her sister Sofia Rosa; ten grandchildren with special mention of Paul DeLeon, sixteen great grandchildren and several great great grandchildren; and other relatives and friends who will dearly miss her. She was predeceased by one Son the late Fernando DeLeon, and two brothers the late Juan Santana and the late Thomas Santana;Funeral services have been scheduled for Friday, August 15, 2008 beginning at 8:00 A.M. at the Funeraria Luz de Paz ( La Funeraria de NUESTRA Comunidad ), 426 East Washington Ave, Bridgeport followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Mary''s Church; Interment will follow in St. Michael''s Cemetery, Stratford; Viewing will take place on Thursday, August 14, 2008 from 7-9 P.M. at the Funeral Home.
