Obituary of Roselia Hernandez

Hernandez-Roselia Hernandez, age 48, lifelong resident of Bridgeport, heard the call of God and entered the Gates of Heaven on Saturday, October 10, 2009 in St. Vincent's Medical Center. Roselia is the daughter of Juan Romero and Consuelo Rivera; Many called her Rose, but most called her "Cuca". She loved the Lord with all her strength, with all her heart and all her being; She was a fountain of unconditional love to all whom she would encounter; there was not a place she went that people would not see what an amazing woman she was; Roselia was a graduate of the Good Shepherd Christian Church Bible instutute where she received a Bachelor Degree in Theology. For numerous years she had been an Elder of the Church where she had attended; "Cuca" was the loving wife of William Hernandez whom she married over 25 years ago. Together they are the parents of three sons William Hernandez, Juan Hernandez and Willie Hernandez; one daughter Irene Hernandez; She is the grandmother of six; In addition to her spouse, children and grandchildren she is survived by her brother Juan J. Romero; sisters Nancy Garcia and Consuelo Ruiz; and a host of other relatives and friends who will sorely miss her. Cuca was a Spiritual Mother to so many that we cannot mention but together with her relatives will grieve the loss of this wonderful woman. Friends are invited to attend calling hours on Monday, October 12, 2009 from 5 P.M. until the end of service at Calvary Baptist Church, 849 State Street, Bridgeport, CT ; The funeral service and life celebration will begin at 7:00 P.M. Final Disposition will take place Thursday, October 15, 2009 directly at St. Michael's Cemetery, Stratford, CT at 12:00 P.M..
