Obituary of Carmen Hernandez

Hernandez-Carmen Hernandez, age 85 of Bridgeport, Passed into the Peaceful restful arms of the Lord on Sunday, June 22, 2008 in Bridgeport Hospital. She is the daughter of the late Geraldo Deida and the late Julia Deida; She was born in Camuy, Puerto Rico but moved into the Bridgeport area many years ago; She was a Prayer Warrior who loved the Lord with all her heart and never ceased to pray day and night. Carmen is the wife of the Late Pedro Hernandez; She is survived by her daughters Ana Mejias and her husband Edwin and Carmen Ortega and her husband Andres Rivera all of Bridgeport; her grandchildren Edwin Jr, Eunice, Enrique Jr., Nancy, Danny, Jeffrey with Special mention of Carmencita who she raised as her own and whom considered Carmen as her own mother; twenty two grandchildren and four great grandchildren; and other relatives and friends who will dearly miss her. Funeral services will take place on Thursday, June 26, 2008 beginning at 10:00 A.M. at the Funeraria Luz de Paz ( La Funeraria de NUESTRA Comunidad ), 426 E. Washington Ave., Bridgeport followed by Interment in Lawncroft Cemetery; Friends are invited to attend calling hours on Wednesday, June 25, 2008 from 7-9 P.M. at the Funeral Home.
