Obituary of Luis Balado

Luis H. Balado, age 73, of Bridgeport passed into peaceful rest on Sunday, August 30, 2009 in his home while surrounded by his loving family. Luis is a native of Cuba but had moved to the United States since 1968 with his beloved wife Emilia Balado whom he married currently over 50 years ago. Together they became the proud parents of (and is survived by) his son Roberto Balado and his girlfriend Danielle of Seymour, CT & Daughters Lucia Monk and her husband Garry of Milford and Maria Balado Perez and her husband Angel of Bridgeport; In addition to his children and wife he is survived by his brother Luis Rodriguez of Miami, Florida; his grandchildren Taylor, RJ, Melissa, Jennifer, Garry, Vanessa, Karina, Uriah & Etian; his great grandchildren Antonio Cordero, Luis, Anthony and Destiny Guzman; a great family friend who was there at all times and he loved and appreciated, Tany Xavier; and other relatives and friends who will dearly miss him. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, September 1, 2009, beginning at 9:00 A.M. at the Funeraria Luz de Paz, ( la Funeraria de NUESTRA Comunidad), 426 E. Washington Ave., Bridgeport followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Agustine Cathedral; Interment will follow in Mt. Grove Cemetery, Bridgeport, CT; Calling hours will be held on Monday, August 31, 2009 from 6-8 P.M. at the Funeral Home.
