Obituary of Eva Guerra

Eva F. Guerra, Age 81, of Bridgeport passed into the peaceful rest of the Lord on Thursday, February 21, 2008 in St. Vincent''s Medical Center. Eva was born in Guayanilla, Puerto Rico but had moved into the Bridgeport area since 1950. She had been employed at Casco where she retired from after 42 years. She was an active member of St. Peter''s Roman Catholic Church for many many years. Eva is survived by her sons Gus Guerra of Bridgeport and Ariel Guerra of Tampa, Florida; her brothers Evarista, Virgilio, Lester, Elbin and Aladino Echevarria; her sisters Sylvia and Nair Echevarria; four grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends who will dearly miss her. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, February 27, 2008, beginning at 9:00 A.M. at the Funeraria Luz de Paz, 426 E. Washington Ave., Bridgeport, CT followed by a Mass of Christian Burial; Interment will follow in St. Michael''s Cemetery, Stratford, CT. Friends are invited to attend calling hours on Tuesday, February 26, 2008 from 6-8 P.M. at the funeral home.
