Obituary of Zenaida Fernandez

Zenaida A.Fernandez, age 85, of Bridgeport passed into the peaceful rest of the Lord on Sunday, June 15, 2008 in Northbridge Healthcare Center. Zenaida was born in Santiago de Cuba, where she was the second youngest of 14 children of the late Miguel Perez and the late Dolores Arias ; She moved into the Bridgeport area since 1967. Her loving, caring ways to her family and friends and incomparable ability to cook traditional meals were some of the reasons she was so well known to many. She is the beloved wife of Roberto Fernandez of Bridgeport for over 59 years; In addiiton to her husband she is survived by her daughters Dolores Rodriguez and her husband Ralph of Bridgeport and Zenaida Esther Poulin and her husband Mark also of Bridgpeort; She is also survied by her grandchildren Roberto Castrillo, Michael Castrillo and Brian Poulin; her great grandchildren Roberto Castrillo Jr. and Ahvianna Castrillo; and other relatives and friends who will dearly miss her. Friends are invited to attend calling hours on Thursday, June 19, 2008 beginning at 8:00 A.M. at the Funeraria Luz de Paz, 426 East Washington Ave. Bridgeport ( Member of the Order of the Golden Rule )followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Augustine''s Cathedral at 10:00 A.M.; Interment will take place in Lawncroft Cemetery, Fairfield, CT; Please sign our online registerbook at www.luzdepaz.com.
