Obituary of Jerald Diaz
Jerry Diaz was born on August 12, 1975 in Bridgeport, Connecticut to Julio and Carmen Diaz and nurtured and loved by Alberto Gordillo Sr. He attended Pemberton Township High School in Browns Mills, New Jersey and Burlington County Community College. He was a Risk Management Manager for Edison Learning Inc in New York City. Even though Jerryâs was 33 years old at his passing, he fulfilled all his expectations in life. Jerry was a charismatic man who filled the lives of those who knew him with an unforgettable ray of sunshine. He was someone who simply loved life, and loved those that were blessed enough to be a part of his life. Jerry could make people laugh and smile. His unmistakable enchanting personality would literally light up the room whenever he walked in. Yet, Jerry would always be there for people; to listen to their problems and was more than willing to do everything he could to help them out. Jerry had a strong understanding of God's word and was eager to help others understand God's word and His purpose in their lives. Jerry was blessed with many spiritual gifts and used them to bring others to the kingdom of God. He was and is an avid Yankee fan and a member of the Caculos Boyâs Club and loved by many. Jerry touched the lives of all who knew him in such a special and unique way and you were blessed and honored to have known him. He leaves to cherish his memories, his beloved mother and father Alberto & Carmen Gordillo Sr., his sister Josephine Figueroa-Diaz and brother-in-law, Roberto Sr., Brother Julio Diaz Jr., Brother Alberto Gordillo Jr. and sister in law Esmeralda, brother Marvin Gordillo, brother Alex âJoeyâ Gordillo and sister in law Lina. His nieces & nephews, Jasmine Figueroa, Roberto Figueroa Jr., Javier Figueroa, Julio Jr., Jennifer, Joseph, Jonathan, Jennel, Jackie, Thalia & Tatiana Gordillo, Andrew & Matthew Gordillo and so many more nieces and nephews. His Aunts and Uncles Christian & Iris Caraballo, Aida L. Santana, Lydia & Jr. Lauriano, Angel Luis & Juanita, Edgardo & Maria Rivera, and Francisco & Aida Rivera; his cousins: Emily Cedeno, Raymond Lauriano, Jackie Perez, Albert, Oscar, Ricky and Albert Santana, Nydia Avery, Marisol & Frank Rivera, Jr.; Olgita, Cynthia, Jerry and Lisa, Ada, Sonia, Lillian and Luis A. Morales, Jr., and a host of distant relatives and devoted friends. Funeral services have been scheduled to take place on Monday, June 8, 2009, beginning at 10:00 A.M. At the Funeraria Luz de Paz, 426 E. Washington Ave., Bridgeport, CT followed by interment in Mt. Grove Cemetery, Easton, CT; Friends are invited to attend calling hours on Sunday, June 7, 2009 from 5-8 P.M. At the Funeral Home.
