Obituary of Joseph DeFrancisco

Joseph DeFrancisco Sr., age 58 of Bridgeport, died peacefully Saturday, January 10, 2009 in his home. Born in Bridgeport, lifelong resident, he was the son of the late Angelina DeFrancisco Curtis. He worked for many years at Fairfield automotive in Fairfield. Joe was a charismatic individual with a free spirit. He was charmer and well liked by all who had the privilege of meeting him. He enjoyed being outdoors and loved to sit in the sun; enjoyed watching court tv and shopping. He loved and adored his grandchildren and family very much. Survivors include his estranged wife of many years, Myrna DeFrancisco; beloved son Joseph DeFrancisco jr., and (daughter-in-law) Taisha Robles of Bpt. Daughter Maritza DeFrancisco - Feliciano and (son-in-law) Lemar Feliciano of Stratford. Seven sisters Jean DeFrancisco of Calf., Laura DeFrancisco – Comandini of Bpt., Nancy Curtis of Bpt., Beverly Mirando of West Haven, Elaine Curtis of Bpt., Evelyn Curtis of Stratford, and predeceased Linda DeFrancisco - Petroff. Also, three brothers Arthur DeFrancisco of Shelton, Donald Curtis of Bpt, and predeceased Fred Curtis Jr. Grandchildren Joseph DeFrancisco III, Joshua DeFrancisco, Jaylin DeFrancisco, Justin Feliciano and Juliana Feliciano. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Calling Hours will be at Luz de Paz, 426 East Washington Ave, Bpt CT, January 14,2009 from 6pm to 8pm. Friends and Family are also invited to meet directly at St. James Church, 2110 Main st. Stratford, Thursday January 15, 2009 at 10:30a.m. for a Mass.
