Obituary of Luis Cuevas

Luis Cuevas, age 86, currently of Bridgeport but a native of Mexico passed into a peaceful rest on Sunday, May 3, 2009 in Northbridge Healthcare Center while surrounded by his loving family. He is the beloved husband of Irma Cuevas of Stratford; Luis was a talented Carpenter, Gardener and wonderful cook; He also enjoyed taking care of horses when he was back home. Luis was truly a wonderful man who loved his family and friends; In addition to his wife he is survived by his sons Benjamin Cuevas and Abel Cuevas; Daughters Catalina Cuevas and Gloria Cuevas; His Stepchildren David Mendez, Hector Mendez, Madeline Amalbert, Irma Morton, Elizabeth Williams, Nancy Arguellas and Yvette Acevedo; thirty nine grandchildren and a host of great grandchildren, relatives and friends who will sorely miss him. He was predeceased by his daughter Teresa Cuevas; Calling hours will take place on Tuesday, May 5, 2009, 7-9 P.M. at the Funeraria Luz de Paz, 426 E.
