Obituary of Carmen Cabrera
Carmen A. Cabrera, age 58, of West Haven, formerly of Bridgeport, passed away on August 30, 2008 in Stratford. Lovng mother to Wanda (Wendy) Figueroa and her husband Alberto of West Haven, Brenda (Ely) Agosto and her husban Luis Berrius of Ansonia; Endearing Grandmother of Priscilla, Michellle, C-Jay, Brianni, A.J. and Tiffany, cherished daugher of Justa Hernandez Cabrera of Bridgeport; memories of her will be embraced by her family. Additionally, she is survived by two sisters, Heriberta (Mamita) Agosto and manuela (Nelly) Herrera, both of Stratford; two brothers Tiburcio (Tito) Cabrera of Waterbury, Rafael (Rapho) Cabrera of Stratford; many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her father Hermengildo Cabrera; Born in Vega Baja, Puerto Rico, Carmen had been a resident of Bridgeport most of her life before recently moving to West Haven. A Home healthcare companion with Griswold Special Care Services, she proudly helped each of her clients with warmth and compassion. Morning Strolls on the beach, sitting down with a good book, and spending quality time with her family gave Carmen a great sense of joy. Friends may greet her family on Wednesday from 6-9 P.M. at the Funeraria Luz de Paz ( La Funeraria de Nuestra Comunidad), 426 East Washington Ave., Bridgeport. Funeral services will take place on Thursday, at a time and palce to be announced.
