Obituary of Felix Burgos

Pastor Felix Burgos Jr, age 51 of Bridgeport passed away suddenly on Thursday, February 14, 2008 in St. Vincent''s Medical Center. The son of Felix Burgos Sr. and the late Dominga Burgos, he was born in New York City before moving into the Bridgeport area many years ago. He was the founder of the God''s Victorious Army Church where he pastored for over 22 yrs. He had served as part of the Hispanic Pastor''s Association of Bridgeport where he served at one time as president. he also served in the Bridgeport Rescue Mission and the Jesus Saves Ministries Prison Ministries; Truly a Man who loved the Lord and never failed to mention that each day was the day the Lord had made, a day to rejoice and be glad in him. In addition to his father he is survived by his wife Luz Awilda Burgos of Bridgeport; his sons Reuben and Luis Burgos both of Bridgeport; His daughters Judie Burgos of Derby, CT and Diana Wilson and her husband Tremain of Bridgeport; brothers Jose Burgos and Roberto Burgos of Naugatuck, CT; sister Millie Ruiz of Vermont; grandchildren Alexis Wilson and Kyle Uliano; and a host of other relatives and friends who will dearly and sorely miss him; Funeral services will take place on Wednesday, February 20, 2008 beginning at 10:00 A.M. at the Good Shepherd Christian Church, 725 Hancock Avenue, Bridgeport followed by interment in Lakeview Cemetery; Friends are also invited to attend calling hours on Tuesday, February 19, 2008 from 6 P.M. until the end of service directly at the church.
