Obituary of Luis Barros

Barros-Luis M. Barros, age 43, of Bridgeport passed into peaceful eternal life with the Lord on Thursday, September 13, 2007 in St. Vincent''s Medical Center. Luis was born in Bridgeport then moved to Shelton where he attended Shelton High School and graduated class of 1982. He was always known for his cheerful disposition and Love of Worshiping the Lord at Calvary Baptist Church of Bridgeport where he was an active member for several years. He was part of the Bridgeport PAL Boxing Division where he was A Golden Glove Welter Weight Champion at the early age of 16. He was currently employed as A Correctional officer for the Department of Correction. He is the son of Rafael Barros Sr. and Helen Barros; Along to his parents he is survived by his beloved wife Julia E. Barros of Bridgeport; his stepchildren who he considered his own Maria E. Rivera, Onil Rodriguez , Juan A. Rodriguez & Alberto Rodriguez Jr.; His brothers Rafael Barros Jr, Rodolfo Barros, Wilfredo Barros, Jose E. Barros; his sister Sonia B. Fernandez; his stepchildren''s children who he also considered his own grandchildren, Dhaniel Rivera, Sebastian Rivera, Ailani Rodriguez and Caleb Rodriguez; ten nieces & Nephews and one great nephew, aunts, uncles, and other relatives and friends who will dearly miss him. Friends are invited to attend calling hours on Monday, September 17, 2007 from 7-9 P.M. at the Funeraria Luz de Paz, 426 E.
