Onofre Alves, age 62, a native of Brasil, but a Bridgeport resident over the past 15 years passed into the arms of the Lord on Monday, July 17, 2006 in St. Vincent''s Medical Center; he is the husband of the Alvina Alves of Bridgeport; the father of Douglas Alves of Bridgeport and Charles Alves of Brasil; Friends are invited to attend calling hours on Wednesday, July 19, 2006 beginning at 9:00 A.M. at the Emmanuel Assembly of God Church, 331 Madison Avenue, Bridgeport followed by a Funeral Service to begin at 11:00 A.M. at the Church; Interment will follow in Lakeview Cemetery, Bridgeport;
