Obituary of Ana Alicea

Ana Delia Alicea, age 79, entered into peaceful rest at home with loving family and special sister in law, Chani by her side on December 18, 2006. Born in San Sebastian, Puerto Rico on November 15, 1926, daughter of the late Julia and Antonio Perez, Ana Moved to Bridgeport 46 years ago, to give her daughters a better life. She was a talented seamstress and also worked for Alinabal for over 20 years. Ana was the matriarch for her family; She was a strong and brave woman who battled and won a fight with cancer in 1997. Ana Loved going to the casinos, traveling and sharing time with friends and family. She loved life and enjoyed living even in her last days. She was predeceased by two sisters Mirta and Emma and three brothers, Gilberto , Franco and Antonio; She is survived by one sister Judy and one brother Wilfredo ( Hito). She was the devoted mother of four daughters Myriam and her husband Yogi, Patty and her husband Manny, Auria and her husband Oscar and Nilsa. She will also be deeply missed by her eight Grandchildren, Jason, Jessy, Bianca, Luis, Joshua, Machi, Cassy and Natasha; Nine great grandchildren, Sarina, Deanna, Amaya, Alana, Mila, cheyenn, Jacob, Skylar and Jose Caleb and her affectionate caretaker Cesi; Her memory and zest for life will live on in all who knew her. Funeral services will take place on Thursday, December 21, 2006 beginning at 10:00 A.M. at the Funeraria Luz de Paz, 426 E. Washington Ave., Bridgeport, CT followed by interment in Lakeview Cemetery, Bridgeport; Friends are invited to attend calling hours on Wednesday, December 20, 2006 from 6-8 P.M. at the Funeral Home.
