Obituary of Joaquin Alicea

Joaquin "Kino" Alicea, age 54, beloved son of Francisco Alicea and the Late Juanita Alicea passed into eternal rest on Saturday, December 20, 2008 in St. Vincent's Medical Center. Joaquin was born in Camuy, Puerto Rico but had moved to the Bridgeport area at an early age. In addition to his father he is survived by his daughter Johanna Alicea, Catalina Flores and Yolanda Alicea; brothers Luis P. Alicea, Juan F. Alicea, Nelson Alicea, Isaac Alicea, Miguel Alicea and Anthony Alicea; sisters Ana M. Alicea, Carmen R. Sanchez, Olga I. Alicea, Awilda Nikolic, Esther Rodriguez, Gudelia Alicea, Nilda M. Rodriguez and Jeanette Alicea; ten grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends who will sorely miss him. Friends are invited to attend calling hours on Monday, December 22, 2008 from 7-9 P.M. at the Funeraria Luz de Paz (La Funeraria de NUESTRA Comunidad), 426 E. Washington Ave.Bridgeport. Interment will take place on Tuesday, December 23, 2008 at 2:00 PM directly in St. Michael's Cemetery, Stratford, CT.
