Obituary of Luis Martinez

Luis A. Martinez, age 67, of Bridgeport, passed into the peaceful arms of the Lord on Friday, April 17, 2009 in St. Vincent's Medical Center. Luis was born in Ponce, Puerto Rico to the late Vicente Martinez and the late Irma Martinez Perez but had moved into the Bridgeport area many years ago. He is the husband of his beloved Liduvina Martinez whom he married over 45 years ago. In addition to his wife he is survived by his Son Luis A. Martinez Jr.; his daughter Ivette Rodriguez and her husband Luis; Grandchildren Luis A. Martinez III, Jessica MArtinez, Elizardo Velazquez, Ivette Velazquez, Jasmine Velazquez and Jessica Rodriguez; and a host of other relatives and friends who will sadly miss him. Funeral services will take place on Monday, April 20, 2009, beginning at 8:30 A.M. Until 10:30 A.M. with Calling hours at the Funeraria Luz de Paz, ( La Funeraria de NUESTRA Comunidad ), 426 E. Washington Ave., Bridgeport followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Charle's Church; Interment will follow in Mt.
