Obituary of Miguel Baez

Miguel A. Baez, age 94 of Bridgeport, passed away into the eternal rest of the Lord on December 9, 2014 in his home. Miguel was born in Bayamon, Puerto Rico but had moved into the Bridgeport area since the 1950''s. He is a decorated Veteran of the United States Army where he served not only in the Second World War but also in the Korean Conflict; He was awarded a Purple Heart for his bravery and Exceptional service to our country; Miguel is the beloved widower of the late Juana Vazquez; He is survived by his sons Miguel A. Baez, Jr, Rafael Perez, and Eligio Perez; his daughters Nereida Rivera, Miriam Vega, Carmen Velazquez, Mirta Baez and Carmen Baez; twenty two grandchildren with a special mention of Myra Febus and David Laracuente; and a host of nieces, nephews, great grandchildren and other relatives and friends whom will dearly miss him; Friends are invited to attend calling hours on Monday, December 15, 2014 beginning at 10:00 A.M. at the Funeraria Luz de Paz, (Peaceful Light Funeral Home), 426 E. Washington Ave, Bridgeport, CT; A Mass of Christian Burial has been scheduled for 12:00 P.M. at the ST.
