Aunt Martha was very special to so many of us. I saw her only on occasion but each time was a treat. She always lit up whatever room she entered and her face beamed when she smiled. There was never any "ice to break" with Aunt Martha . . . reunions always felt like we were together just the day before. Her life wasn't easy, but as fire purifies gold, her finest attributes became more evident as the years went by. We will all miss her.

Marty,as I called her, is the most beautiful woman I have ever met in my life
. Im so priviledged to have been a part of her life and family. She was always there for me. When I went to her house, which was just about every day to visit, she was so kind to me. Even when Phil wasnt home, I would visit with her. We would sit and talk about anything and everything. Marty always had something nice to say about everyone. She was such a positive woman. We would laugh, kid around and joke. It was so much fun to be with her. Always offering me something, always telling me to be good, and to make sure noone ever hurt me, that I could do anything in life that I wanted to do. Telling us kids to be quiet when we were on the front porch, because hubby was sleeping. Marty is the most caring, understanding, honest, beautiful, loving woman Ive ever known. She was the glue that held the family together. There are so many memories that I have of Marty. I can go on and on and on. I will miss her dearly. Until we meet in heaven with my Mom, Marty, I will miss you dearly. RIP I Love You.

I am sorry to read about the passing of Martha. Death is something we will never get use to. In fact God's word refer to death as an enemy (1 Corinthians 15:26). Our loving Heavenly Father make us a promise and we have a real hope of being reunited with our death loved ones again (John 5:28,29). Very soon he will remove death once and for all (Rev. 21:4). In this moments of deep sorrow, God's word provide so much comfort.

My beautiful Aunt Martha - gone! It can't be. Who will make those wonderful mashed potatoes for me now? I remember how lovely your room was in Baba's house - always so feminine. You were a perfect wife and mother, your home a reflection of your character and respect for order and cleanliness. For Rodney I leave this: "At night when kneeling down to pray, I thank our Lord above, who was so good to give me My Mother's deathless love".

Aunt Martha - I cannot write this without deep sadness and emotion. Another light has been taken from this life and is now more beautiful and bright in heaven along with my Mom and Dad. You have always been my "second" mother. So many memories of growing up with my summers, the beach, the card games, staying up late with you, the snacks. I always gained weight at your house. I spent entire summers with you from my first year to my teen age years. Going to your home from the week I left school for summer vacation to the week before school started-always needed to get new clothes with the weight gain. So many, many wonderful thoughts and love and fun we enjoyed. I need to stop now because I can go on forever with all the memories and I need to dry my eyes. Cannot see the computer. Love you forever....Rita
