Obituary of Deacon Domingo Reveron

Deacon Domingo Reveron, Sr. age, 78, of Bridgeport passed away into the peaceful arms of the Lord on Sunday, November 9, 2014 in St. Vincent's Medical Center, Bridgeport, CT; Deacon Reveron was born in Quebradillas, Puerto Rico to the late Joaquin Reveron and the late Mikaela Rodriguez, but had relocated to the Bridgeport are many years ago; He is the widower of the late Milagros Reveron; He was a loving, caring, generous man, whom blessed all those he came across regardless of time of day; He retired from the United Methodist Homes where he was employed as a chef for over 38 years. He had attended Seminary School for 4 years in Puerto Rico; He along with a couple others initiated the Cursillo classes in the Diocese of Bridgeport at the Former St. Anthony's Parish and then St. Peter's Roman Catholic Church that has served to bless so many; He was ordained as a Deacon in 1979 and became the first Hispanic Ordained deacon within the diocese of Bridgeport; He was involved in the Marriage encounter program where he assisted in the counseling of Many married couples seeking guidance; He had served as a First Selectman and served the citizens of Bridgeport under the time of the Pannizio Administration in the City of Bridgeport; Truly an amazing man, with a heart of Gold and is a great loss within the City of Bridgeport, The Diocese of Bridgeport and of course St. Peter's Roman Catholic Church and all its parishoners; He is survived by his sons John Reveron, Domingo Reveron, Jr. and Geraldo Reveron; his daughter Gladys M. Reveron; two grandchildren and four great grandchildren; his brother Geraldo, Ramon, Anibal and Joaquin Reveron; his sister Mercedes and Edith Reveron; and a host of other relatives and friends whom will sadly miss him. Friends are invited to attend calling hours at the St. Peter's Church, 695 Colorado Avenue, Bridgeport, CT on Wednesday, November 12, 2014 from 6-830 P.M.; A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Thursday, November 13, 2014 beginning at 10:00 A.M. at the Church followed by interment in St. Michael's Cemetery, Bridgeport, CT; In Lieu of Flowers memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society; Please sign our online Book of Memories where you may share your thoughts, memories, prayers, pictures and much more and is found EXCLUSIVELY at www.luzdepaz.com.
