Obituary of Louise Christy

Louise Christy, age 71, died on Saturday, October 25, 2014, at St. Vincent's Medical Center in Bridgeport, CT surrounded by her loving family. She was born on February 5, 1943, in Bridgeport, CT After a valiant fight with breast cancer in 1989, Louise's battle resumed in 2013. Her strong will to live, unwavering faith in God, and love and prayers of family, friends and many supporters carried her through. She was known for her ease of conversation with total strangers and telling people exactly what she thought. Her gift of joy was shown through her smiles and laughter and will never be forgotten. Louise attended St Mary's catholic church. Singing in the chorus was one of her favorite pastimes. She adored working at the Kennedy Center in which she worked until she was no longer able. Louise often spoke of her clients and co-workers and looked forward to seeing them every day. She leaves to cherish her memory: companion, Abe LaMourt, father, Lewis Plummer, three sons, William Lee Christy Jr., Louis Christy (Wanda) and Clinton Iannotti, daughter, Kim Christy Ross (Claude), step-son, Raye Ruff, step-daughter, Robin Ruff, Aunt, Ruth Plummer, brother, Robert Plummer, ten grandchildren, three great grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends. Louise was preceded in death by her mother, Alice Cornelia Clinton (Plummer); paternal grandparents, Reverend Robert and Cora Plummer; and maternal grandparents, Vincent and Julia Alice Patty (Clinton). Friends are invited to attend a Memorial Service on Saturday, November 1, 2014 from 8:30 a.m. - 10:30 a.m. at the Funeraria Luz de Paz (Peaceful Light Funeral Home), 426 East Washington Ave. Bridgeport, CT. Inurnment will follow at Park Cemetery, Bridgeport, CT.
