Obituary of Mariana Mendez

Mariana Mendez, age 103 of Bridgeport, entered into eternal rest on Monday, October 6, 2014, at her residence in Bridgeport surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Utuado, P.R. to the late Andres Reyes and Maria Pagan prior to relocating to the Bridgeport area many years ago. Mariana is the loving mother of Jose Antonio, Jose Adrian, Isabelo "Chelo", Nellie, Antonia, Virginia, and Rosalina Mendez; and the adoring grandmother of 39 grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren; and many great great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her children: Onorio, Maria, Ana, Rosaura, and Edelmira Mendez. Friends are invited to attend calling hours on Wednesday, October 8, 2014 from 7-9 p.m. at the Funeraria Luz de Paz (Peaceful Light Funeral Home), 426 East Washington Ave. Bridgeport, CT. Funeral Services have been schedule for Thursday, October 9, 2014 starting at 9 a.m. at the Funeral Home. Interment will follow at St. Michael's Cemetery, Stratford.
