Obituary of Maria Vega Melendez

Maria Vega Melendez, age 74, of Bridgeport passed away into the peaceful rest of the Lord on Tueday, September 23, 2014 in her Bridgeport residence surrounded by her loving family. Maria was born in Vega Baja, Puerto Rico but had relocated to the Bridgeport area many years ago. She is the daughter of the late Florentino Vega and the late Dolores Melendez. She is survived by her daughters and sons Maria De Jesus, Olga De Jesus, Juan Carlos De Jesus, Migdalia De Jesus, Donato De Jesus, Wanda De Jesus, Elizabeth De Jesus, Jose Ramon De Jesus, and Yamira De Jesus; her six siblings; her fifteen grandchildren, many great grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends whom will dearly miss her. In addition to her parents she is predeceased by her daughter Nancy De Jesus. Friends are invited to attend calling hours Friday, September 26, 2014 from 6-9 P.M. at the Funeraria Luz de Paz (Peaceful Light Funeral Home) 426 East Washington Ave. Bridgeport, CT.
