Obituary of Dominico Lopez

Dominico (Jorge) Lopez went home on September 22, 2014. Born in Lares, Puerto Rico he was a long time Bridgeport resident since his relocation in 1958. Also win or lose, our dad was a longtime avid fan of his beloved New York Mets. He was a veteran of the United States Army and a faithful servant of the Lord serving as a member of the Iglesia Bautista Emanuel of Bridgeport, Connecticut. Dominico was predeceased by his mother, Eufemia Lopez; his father Ramon Caraballo; other siblings; and recently his son Jorge Luis Lopez. He will be deeply missed by his beloved wife of many years Bienvenida Lopez. He will also be remembered by a host of relatives such as his brothers and sisters but in particular by his sons Gilberto Martinez, Edgardo Lopez, Eliot Lopez, and daughter, Lourdes Lopez Delgado.His grandchildren Jorge Luis Lopez, Victor Luis Lopez, Evelisse Christina Lopez, Marcial Delgado III, David Ezequiel Delgado, David Nguyen, Tina Nguyen, and Emily Elizabeth Lopez will miss their "Abuelito" and "hero". The legacy of his humor, integrity, and strong Christian family values will be taught to Emmanuel Luis Lopez and Mia Naomi Delgado, his two great grandchildren. For many of his nephews and nieces "Tio Jorge" was a father figure who encouraged everyone to stay faithful to the Lord in spite of life's many obstacles. He taught us life's value of hard work and integrity. On a final note he will also missed by any and all who came to know him in the course of his life.
