Obituary of Tomas Cotto

Tomas D. Cotto, age 66 of Bridgeport, returned to the loving arms of the Lord on Friday, September 5, 2014 at his residence, with his loving family by his side. He is the beloved husband of Ruth Rivera Cotto; his wife of 40 years. Tomas was born in Caguas, Puerto Rico to the late Gonzalo Cotto and Tomasa DeJesus prior to relocating to the Bridgeport area many years ago. He is the loving father of Gonzalo M. Cotto and Raul Rivera; the adoring grandfather of Cheyenne Basinet; and the caring brother of Francisco Cotto, Peter Cotto, Cruz Cotto, Carlos Cotto, Gonzalo Cotto, Carmen Patron, Maria Knight, and Maria Morales. Tomas is also survived by a special nephew, Ricardo Alcover, III. and many other friends and family that will dearly miss him. He was predeceased by Tomas "Tito" Cotto. Friends are invited to call on Thursday from 7 P.M. to 9 P.M. at the Funeraria Luz de Paz (Peaceful Light Funeral Home) 426 E. Washington Ave., Bridgeport, CT 06608. Funeral services have been schedule for Friday, September 12, 2014 starting with a Funeral Mass at St. Margaret Shrine Church. at 10:00 A.M.
