Obituary of Irma Miranda

Irma Miranda, age 78, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, August 19, 2014 at her residence in Bridgeport. She was born and raised in San German, Puerto Rico prior to relocating to the Bridgeport area many years ago. Irma is the daughter of the late Porfirio Gonzalez and the late Justina Miranda. She is survived by her sons Efrain Santiago (Linda Santiago) and Jesus Santiago (Maria Andino); her daughters Luz Delmoral (Carmelo Delmoral), Carmen Santiago (Roberto Duarte), and Juana Andino Santiago; her seventeen grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren; and many more relatives and friends whom we dearly miss her. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the Jewish Home for the Elderly for their exceptional service, especially CNAs: Elizabeth Williams, Pamela McGregor, and Marsha Campbell; and an additional note of gratitude to VITAS Hospice Care for their support during the last days of Irma's life. Friends are invited on Sunday, August 24 from 6 to 8 p.m. to attend calling hours at the Funeraria Luz de Paz, 426 E. Washington Avenue, Bridgeport, CT. Funeral services are scheduled for Monday, August 25 at 10 a.m. at the funeral home. Her interment will follow at Lakeview Cemetery, Bridgeport.
