Obituary of Justina Robledo

Justina Robledo, age 82 of Bridgeport entered into rest on Tuesday, June 17, 2014 at Bridgeport Hospital. She was the beloved wife of Epifanio Robledo; her beloved husband of 55 years. Justina was born in Bayamon, Puerto Rico, daughter to the late Evaristo Rodriguez and Maria Acevedo. She relocated to the Bridgeport area many years ago and was most recently a resident of Bishop Wicke Health Center in Shelton. Justina was employed as a seamstress at Warners, she had the privilege to create a garment for Jacqueline Onassis Kennedy, and later as a school crossing guard for 37 years prior to her retirement in 2011. She was one of the first members of the Hispanic Cursillo for the Diocese of Bridgeport. Mrs. Robledo was a quiet woman who was dedicated to ensuring the comfort and well being of her family. Justina is the loving mother of Marcus Robledo married to Evelyn Robledo, Alexander Robledo married to Beata Robledo, Raul Robledo married to Janette Robledo, Daniel Robledo married to Sandra Robledo, Magalis Boyce married to William Boyce, Victoria Dompierre (Gaetan Dompierre), and Elsie Hammill (Robert Hammill); the loving grandmother of Melissa Grich, Michael Boyce, Ashley Hammill, Dominque Dompierre, Matthew Robledo, Justin Hammill, Daniel Dompierre, Nicholas Robledo, Tiffany Robledo, Samantha Robledo, Jordan Robledo, and Marcus Robledo, Jr.; her great grandaughters Juliana and Alyssa; and the caring sister of 10 siblings. She is also survived by numerous family members and friends who will sorely miss her. Friends are invited to attend calling hours on Friday, June 20, 2014 from 4:30 - 7 P.M. at the Funeraria Luz de Paz, 426 E. Washington Ave., Bridgeport. On Saturday, friends are invited to the Funeral Home at 9 a.m. and her funeral procession will leave the funeral home promptly at 9:30 A.M. for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 A.M. at St. Peter's Church, Bridgeport. Interment will follow in St. Michael's Cemetery, Stratford.
