Obituary of Monserrate Serrano

Monserrate Serrano, age 91, of Bridgeport passed away into the peaceful presence of the Lord on Saturday, June 14, 2014 in her home while surrounded by her loving family. Monserrate was born in Camuy, Puerto Rico but had relocated to the Bridgeport area over 40 years ago. She was a member for many years of the Primera Casa de Oracion Church; She was a graduate of the Instituto Biblico Latinoamericano, and a Sunday School teacher for many years; She Loved the Lord with all her heart, mind and soul; Monserrate is the dear daughter of the late Francisco Nieves and the late Cristina Cruz. She is the beloved wife of Jose Serrano whom she married over 70 years ago. In addition to her husband she is survived by her sons Jose Serrano, Elias Serrano and Juan Serrano; her daughters Ana Serrano, Cristina Torres and Irma Lecza; 15 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends whom will dearly miss her.
