Dear Uncle, I am so happy that you are no longer in pain, no longer trapped in a body and mind that didn't work here on earth. I can just imagine how happy you are in heaven. I can't wait until we are together again, dancing to all the Heavenly tunes together. No one can take my memories of you away. They will always be in my heart. . Of all the things that break my heart the one that hurts the most is that my son will not have memories of you and you were such an awesome grandfather. I feel your greatest call in this life was to be grandfather to the best bunch of kids I know...and my son will only have the stories of you . He will not see your love, generosity , silliness and faithfulness and it makes me sad. And yet every time I see him sleep or his angry pout, the faces he's makes , the way he eats - I am reminded of you. I really hope he gets your dance moves. Although I find peace because you are no longer in pain, I will miss you forever and I promise to tell my son your epic tales. I once had to do a family tree for a class and I decided to ask daddy some details about the concepcion side cuz it was pretty vague. His response was that we were his family and that was all I needed to put, and for him it was that simple. We were everything to him, and there wasn't room for anything else. he loved us exactly as we were and never had any expectations to be anything else. His love was unfailing, fierce and deep and I will miss the security it has always given me and there was nothing I could do that could disappoint him. I can only hope to love with such simplicity.

i remember when you first started to get forget things, we were looking at pictures and i showed you a picture of me when i was 3 or 4 and asked you who it was. you couldnt remember. i told you it was me. later on that day, i found that picture taped to your wall, right next to where you slept. so you wouldnt forget me. you did good daddy, you remembered me to the end.

Lamento mucho la perdida de su querido padre, esposo y abuelo don Bernardo. Se sufre mucho cuando perdemos un ser querido y mas si es tan cercano a uno. Nuestro Padre Celestial el Dios de todo consuelo esta cerca de los aflijidos de corazon y se interesa por lo que nos pasa (2Corintios 1:3, Salmo 34:18, 1 Pedro 5:7). Mucha gente dice que Dios se lleva a nuestros seres queridos porque los necesita, pero la realidad es que eso no es cierto. Nuestro Padre Celestial sufre tanto como nosotros nuestrs perdida pues el no quiere que nadie sufra ni mucho menos que muera, El no se deleita con la muerte de nadie (Ezequiel 18:32). Todo lo contrario el desea que vivamos felices para siempre en perfecta salud y condiciones. Es por eso que nos promete que limpiara toda lagrima de nuestro rostro y eliminara para siempre la muerte y el sufrimiento (Revelacion 21:4). Tambien nos brinda la verdadera esperanza de volver a reunirnos con nuestros seres queridos que hoy duermen en la muerte, esperando a escuchar su voz (Juan 5:28,29). Conocer esas promesas me dieron mucho consuelo cuando yo perdi a mi padre y por eso quise compartirlas con usted. Gracias por habermelo permitido.

Please accept my deepest condolences for the loss of your beloved husband, dad & grandfather. Bernardo & I worked @ BHA for a long time & I must say he was a perfect gentleman from the first day we met. He was funny & always had us laughing with his great sence of humor. He was kind & did anything to help out someone in need. You are definietly one of God's favorite angels. My dear daddy…. I will miss you every day the rest of my life. You were one of the few men in this life that I respect and love. i know you’re not suffering anymore and that is what brings me comfort now.
