Obituary of Miguel Rodriguez

Miguel Rodriguez, age 75, of Bridgeport passed away into the Glorious Presence of the Lord on Friday, April 11, 2014 in Cambridge Health and Rehabilitation Center, Fairfield, CT. Miguel was born in Cayey, Puerto Rico but had relocated to the Bridgeport area many years ago. He is the beloved husband of Elba Rodriguez. He was know for being a spiritual man who was very quiet and humble, a "family man". He loved to read, listen to music, and watch baseball his favorite team were the Mets. He also enjoyed watching UConn basketball and was very interested in history. In addition to his wife he is survived by his daughters Denise Rodriguez, Diane Ortiz and her husband Ralph; his brother Juan L. Rodriguez; his grandchildren Jade Mclean, Ryan Mclean, Evan Ortiz, and Nicole Ortiz; and a host of other relatives and friends who will dearly miss him. Friends are invited to attend calling hours on Monday, April 14, 2014 from 6-8 P.M. at the Funeraria Luz de Paz, (Peaceful Light Funeral Home), 426 E. Washington Ave., Bridgeport, CT. Funeral services will take place on Tuesday, April 15, 2014 beginning at 9:00 A.M. at the Funeral Home followed by a Funeral Mass at Blessed Sacrament at 10:00 A.M. Interment in Mt.
