Obituary of Monserrate Baez

Monserrate Baez, age 89, of Bridgeport, CT entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, March 25, 2014 at Bridgeport Hospital, Bridgeport, CT. She was born in Barranquitas, Puerto Rico, prior to relocating to the Connecticut area many years ago. She is the daughter of the late Dominga Cruz and. She is the widow of the late Julio Baez. She is survived by her sons Miguel Baez, Jose Orlando Baez, Heriberto Baez, and Carmelo Baez; her daughters Esther Baez, Maria Baez, and Virgen Baez; her sister Carmen Maria Santiago; and many grandchildren and great grandchildren; and numerous other relatives and friends that will sorely miss him. She is predeceased by her son Victor M. Baez and her daughter Martha Baez. Friends are invited to attend calling hours, Thursday, March 27 from 11-­ 1 p.m. at Funeraria Luz de Paz, (Peaceful Light Funeral Home) 426 E. Washington Avenue, Bridgeport, CT.
