Obituary of Jorge Galarza Cruz

Jorge Galarza Cruz, age 82, of Bridgeport, passed away into the peaceful presence of the Lord on Monday, February 24, 2014 in his home while surrounded by his loving family. Jorge was born in San Sebastian, Puerto Rico before moving into the Bridgeport area since 1948. He is the beloved husband of Carmen Galarza whom he married over 60 years ago. Together they are the loving parents of one son of Jorge Galarza and one daughter Solangel Marquez; Grandparents to two grandchildren and great grandparents of 4; In addition to his immediate family he is survived by a host of other relatives and friends whom will dearly miss him. Friends are invited to attend calling hours on Wednesday, February 26, 2014 from 6-8 P.M. at the Funeraria Luz de Paz, (Peaceful Light Funeral Home), 426 E. Washington Ave., Bridgeport, CT; Funeral services have been scheduled for Thursday, February 28, 2014 beginning at 10:00 A.M. at the Funeral Home followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in ST. Charle's Barromeo Church.
