Obituary of Minerva McKay

Minerva McKay, age 62, of Bridgeport went to her eternal rest in paradise on Wednesday, January 22, 2014, at Bridgeport Hospital, surrounded by her loving family. Minerva was born in the Dominican Republic to the late Marino M. Castillo and the late Carmen del Socorro Polanco prior to relocating to the Bridgeport area many years ago. She is survived by her sons Dioscorides Cartagena and Christopher McKay; her daughters Idania Ovalle, Stefanie McKay, Gabriella McKay, and Lourdes Mackay; her nine grandchildren; and many more family and friends that will dearly miss her. Friends are invited to attend calling hours on Friday, January 24, 2014 from 11 am to 1 pm. The service will take place at 1 pm all of which will be held at the Funeraria Luz de Paz ( Peaceful Light Funeral Home), 426 East Washington Ave. Bridgeport, CT. Interment will follow at Park Cemetery.
